Open the webpage you want to browse in Hams
After opening Hams, click on the address bar and enter the URL, or go to the target page through an existing link. The web page must actually be opened in Hams before the app can attempt to discover the media content loaded by the page.
- Open Hams
- Click on the address bar
- Enter a URL or search for something
- Enter the target page
Address bar tip: Enter a URL to start discovering downloadable content

Browse as normal and let the media load normally
Some web pages will not load the actual media until the content scrolls into view, or the user starts playing the video. Continue browsing the page and, if necessary, start playing the content you want to save.
- Browse down the page
- Open media details
- Start playing video
- Wait for page to load
When you just open a web page without letting the media actually load, Hams may temporarily be unable to find the downloadable item.

After discovering the content, open the download panel
When Hams detects a potentially downloadable video or image on the current page, the download button in the browser becomes available. Click on the portal to view the currently downloadable items.
- Confirm that the page media has been loaded
- View the download entry in the browser toolbar
- Click to open the download panel
- Wait for the item list to be displayed
Discovering resources does not mean that every file in the list will meet your needs. It is still recommended to confirm through preview and resource information before downloading.

Confirm the content before downloading
The same web page may load videos, images, thumbnails, covers or versions of different resolutions at the same time. Determine the resource by thumbnail, format, size and other available information, then select what you really need to save.
- Preview resources
- Filter videos or images
- View format and size
- Select available quality
- Check the required content
When a web page actually offers multiple versions, Hams displays 4K, 2K, 1080P, or other available resolutions. Not all web pages offer multiple quality options. Ordinary users and VIPs can download up to 1080P, 2K and 4K require SVIP.

Start downloading and continue browsing
After confirming the content and quality, click Download to add the task to the Download Center. After the task starts, you can return to the web page to continue browsing, or you can open the Download Center to check the progress.
- View progress
- pause
- continue
- Try again
- Open completed file
Videos may take up more data. You can allow mobile data downloads if needed, or try to perform tasks on Wi-Fi.
Hams does not support resuming interrupted downloads. If you continue after a pause or try again after a failure, you will download it again from 0 bytes, and the parts that have been transferred will not be retained. Failed tasks will be automatically retried, up to 2 times; they will need to be retried manually thereafter.

No content found yet
Hams can only attempt to process content when the page is actually loaded, accessible, and the video or image can be detected.
-
Continue browsing or start playing
Some media won't load until you scroll to the location or start playing.
-
Wait for the page to finish loading
When the network environment is slow, videos and images may take longer to appear.
-
Confirm page access status
Some content requires login, subscription, or region-specific permissions. Please first confirm that the page itself can be played normally.
-
Refresh or reopen the page
When the page loads abnormally, you can refresh the current page and try again.
-
Check if the site is supported
YouTube, Google, and official streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, iQiyi, and Tencent Video have been actively excluded by Hams. There will be no download buttons on these sites, and no matter how you check in the previous steps, there will be no results. In addition, DRM, encrypted playback, special loading methods, access control and regional restrictions may prevent resources from being discovered or downloaded.
Hams does not bypass website login and access controls, DRM-protected content is not supported, downloads will fail, and support for all websites, pages, and media formats is not guaranteed.
The download is complete, but it does not mean the process is over.

Play offline
Use the built-in player to open saved videos and continue watching when you don't have an internet connection or don't want to repeatedly consume data.

Find, rename and organize saved videos and images in the Download Center.
Learn about file management →Protect private content
After unlocking the safe, open the "⋮" menu of the file card in the completed list in the Download Center and select "Move to Safe". You can also click on the file three times in a row to quickly move it in; recovery also supports these two methods. The Private Vault is for VIPs; the Extreme Vault is another safe exclusive to SVIP. The two are independent and not connected to each other. Vaults are available only on Android.
