Same contentmultiple versions,How to choose
First confirm that these resources belong to the same content, then compare the resolution, file size, format and other available information actually provided by the web page, and choose the version that suits the viewing device, storage space and purpose of use.
Hams does not generate, enhance, frame or restore quality that is not originally provided by the web page, nor does it guarantee multiple versions of all media. "Original quality" refers to the corresponding version actually provided on the webpage and discovered by Hams. It does not mean that it is fixed at 4K, uncompressed, or consistent with the shooting master.
Quick conclusion
Similar thumbnails do not necessarily mean that they are the same complete media, and may also be duplicate material on covers, previews or pages.
Higher resolutions usually preserve more image detail, but also generally require more traffic, time, and storage space.
Different versions may be suitable for offline viewing on mobile phones, tablets and large screens. When SVIP is not activated, the available quality is up to 1080P, and there are other conditions for 2K and 4K.
Why are there multiple results for the same content?
Web pages offer multiple resolutions
The same video may be available in lower, medium, higher resolution, or other versions for different networks and devices.
Hams may discover one or more of these versions after the media is actually loaded.
Web page loads preview and full content simultaneously
The page may have different sizes of video cover, short preview, full video, recommended thumbnail and image at the same time.
They cannot be considered to be the same complete resource just based on the similarity of the images.
The same content exists in different file formats
If an app does display format information, the same content may exist in different formats or media versions.
Different formats may have differences in compatibility, file size and playback methods. Please refer to the actual support of the device.
The web page provides adapted versions for different devices
Web pages may load different resources based on screen size, network status, player status, current session, and device capabilities.
So when you open the same page twice, Hams may find a different version.
The player reloaded the resource
Web pages may reload media when pausing, switching resolutions, refreshing the page, or re-entering content.
This may result in the emergence of new release candidates, the expiration of old resources, duplication of similar resources, or changes in the number of findings.
What does the information in the panel represent?
The actual displayed fields must be consistent with the official App; the official website will not make up the fields that are not displayed in the app.
resolution
The panel displays quality labels such as 4K, 2K, 1080P, 720P, 480P, and 360P, which are inferred from the pixel size of the resource and judged by the short side - 1080×1920 for a vertical screen will be counted as 1080P and will not be treated as 2K. These tags can only appear if the page is actually available and Hams has discovered the corresponding version.
Resolution represents the pixel size of the image or one of the clarity indicators provided by the web page, but does not independently guarantee the actual visual quality - it is also affected by the original shooting quality, web page compression, bit rate, re-encoding, playback device and screen size.
file size
Help determine whether it is just a thumbnail, whether it may be a higher quality version, whether it fits the current storage space, and how much traffic the download may require.
A larger file usually means it contains more data, but it does not alone prove that the quality is higher or the content is correct. If the value shown is an estimate, "estimated size" should be clearly written.
File format
Helps determine whether the device is easy to open, whether other players are needed, and whether different versions are of the same type.
Hams displays format information provided or recognized by web pages, which does not mean that all devices or players are fully compatible.
media type
First distinguish between videos, images, covers, thumbnails and other page resources.
If an item is an image, it might just be the video cover, even if it matches the video.
duration
Only used when the app actually displays it, it can help determine whether the resource is roughly consistent with the current video.
When the duration is missing or incomplete, it needs to be judged based on the preview and other information.
Member mark on 2K / 4K
Video resources that reach the 2K or 4K level will have a membership mark, indicating that this level requires SVIP. 1080P and below are not marked.
The mark only indicates the available conditions of this gear. It does not mean that Hams has improved the quality, nor does it mean that this resource is equal to the creator's shooting master. There is no independent "Original Painting" level in the app. "Original Painting 4K" and "Original Painting 2K" are the names of the options in the settings.

Follow these six steps to choose the right version
-
01 · Content
First confirm that the resource corresponds to the correct video or image
- Whether the thumbnail is consistent with the target media
- Is the media type correct?
- Is it just the cover?
- Is it recommended content on the page?
- Is the video length roughly consistent?
- Are there multiple versions of the same content?
The download panel does not have a separate filter bar. To filter by type, use the "Video" and "Image" buttons in "Quick Selection". Resources are displayed in groups according to content. 10 groups are loaded first on the first screen, and 20 groups are added when scrolling down to about 600px from the bottom, so resources that are not seen at the beginning may need to continue to slide down.
Completion mark: Obvious irrelevant resources and cover material have been excluded.
-
02 · Compare
Only compare resources that truly belong to the same content
If the thumbnail, genre, and content information are significantly different, they should not be treated as high-definition versions of the same video. Judgment basis (subject to the currently displayed fields of the app): preview content, media type, duration, resolution, file size, format.
-
03 · Purpose
Where are you going to watch or use
- Watch offline on mobile phone
- Tablet viewing
- Watch on large screen devices
- Temporary viewing
- Long-term preservation of content that you have the right to preserve
- Limited network or storage space
Depending on the purpose, the appropriate version may be different. This page only provides a judgment framework and does not give a unified conclusion such as "Always choose 720p for mobile phones."
-
04 · Balance
Higher quality usually requires more resources
- Is the current network stable?
- Whether to use mobile data
- Device remaining space
- Download time
- Target device screen size
- Do you really need the highest version?
When viewing on a smaller screen, the difference made by the highest resolution may not be as noticeable as the storage and download costs.
-
05 · Rights and Interests
Confirm whether the target quality requires SVIP
When SVIP is not activated, the upper limit of available quality is 1080P; 2K and 4K are SVIP capabilities, and the quality of VIP is the same as that of ordinary permissions. There are three different paths to 2K/4K, with different rules:
- Click on a certain 2K/4K resource in the item list: non-SVIP users will first see a confirmation pop-up window for viewing the advertisement. After watching, you can try it, but it will only take effect for the currently clicked resource and this download.
- Select 2K/4K in the "Default quality" on the settings page or download panel: only SVIP is available, no ad preview is provided, and you can directly enter the upgrade guide.
- The quality gear button in "Quick Selection" and the "Select All" including high quality: Non-SVIP directly enters the upgrade guide, and there is also no ad preview.
SVIP does not generate new definitions for web pages, nor does it change access restrictions for third-party websites.
-
06 · Download
Once confirmed, select the version that best suits your current use
- Usually there is no need to download the same content in all qualities
- Only one of the different quality levels of the same video can be selected. Selecting a new one will automatically cancel the one already selected in the same group.
- Check the selected status first
- Confirm expected file size
- Confirm remaining space on device
- Add resources to tasks
- View results in Download Center
Completion mark: The corresponding version of the task appears in the Download Center.
Already selected version
The task has been added to the Download Center.
Next step:View download tasks and files (Download Center and File Management Guide).
Task waits or fails
The version has been selected but the task is not proceeding normally.
Next step:CheckGuide to background downloads and task exceptions.
Unable to confirm which is the target resource
Still can't tell the difference between video, cover or thumbnail.
Next step:returnDownload Panel Guide.

There is no target content in the panel.
Next step:CheckNo media troubleshooting guide found yet.
Make a choice based on actual usage
This section provides judgment suggestions, does not provide absolute recommendations, and does not use recommendation algorithms or questionnaires. Each line can jump to the corresponding part of the six-step process.
Just want to watch offline quickly
Key points: download time, file size, current network, mobile phone screen, whether it is only for temporary viewing.
As long as the content is clear and legible, you can choose a version with a file size that is more suitable for your current network and storage space.
Back to step 4: Balancing quality, traffic and storage →Long-term viewing on mobile phones
Key points: screen size, file size, sharpness balance, remaining space on the device.
Don’t just go for the highest number on the list. It is more practical to choose a version that can be viewed clearly on your mobile phone while not taking up too much space.
Return to step three: Determine usage scenarios →Ready to watch on tablet or large screen
Key Points: Higher resolution, file size, download time, device playback compatibility.
Larger screens often make it easier to see the differences between resolutions, but device, player, and storage conditions still need to be confirmed.
Back to step two: Compare versions of the same content →Storage space is limited
Key points: smaller files, actual viewing device, length of content, whether there are multiple duplicate versions.
First exclude unnecessary high-resolution versions and duplicate resources to avoid taking up multiple copies of the same content.
Back to step 4: Balancing quality, traffic and storage →Use mobile networks
Key points: Mobile data consumption, network stability, file size, whether Wi-Fi can be used later.
Larger resources typically require more data and longer download times. Network and traffic conditions should be confirmed before starting.
Back to step 4: Balancing quality, traffic and storage →I hope to preserve the quality provided by the web page as much as possible
Key points: whether the web page provides the corresponding version, whether Hams finds it, whether it is currently SVIP, file size, and device storage.
When the web page is actually provided and Hams can discover it, 1080P and below can be selected directly. 2K and 4K require SVIP; when it is not activated, you can click on the high-definition resource in the item list to watch the ad preview, but it will only take effect for this download of the resource.
Return to step five: Confirm whether the target quality requires SVIP →Original quality depends on the actual content provided by the web page
Hams does not enhance, frame, repair, or regenerate web media. SVIP can use native quality download capabilities when the corresponding version of the web page is actually available and Hams can discover and process it. When SVIP is not activated, the upper limit of the available quality is 1080P: even if the webpage provides 2K or 4K, SVIP is still required, or you can watch the ad preview of the resource separately in the item list.
The original quality may be
- The highest available version provided by the web page
- A version provided by the content uploader
- The original available resources loaded by the current player
- Resources that are different from the normal definition in the list
But there is no guarantee
- Must be 1080p
- Must be 4K
- There must be no compression
- Must be the same as the master shot by the creator
Why is there no original quality option?
Possible reasons: The web page is not provided, the target media has not been fully loaded, Hams has not found the corresponding version, the current media uses incompatible technology, the current account does not have permission to access, the page status has changed, the current is not SVIP and there is no preview for this resource.
Why does the original quality still look unclear?
Possible reasons: the clarity of the original uploaded content itself is limited, the webpage has been compressed, the content has been processed multiple times, the playback device or player has been scaled, the selected resource is not the target complete content, and there is a difference between the webpage logo and the actual visual experience.
Hams displays information actually provided or identifiable by web pages, and does not independently guarantee the quality marked on third-party web pages.
"Default quality" is a preference that should be satisfied as much as possible, not a hard upper limit.
There is a "Default quality" option in the settings page and download panel. When "Quick Selection" and Smart Selection select for you, they will give priority to versions that do not exceed this range.
If there is no version of a video that matches the level, Hams will select the lowest level allowed by your membership level and will not skip the video. When you click on a certain resource in the panel, the one you click will prevail and is not restricted by this setting.
"Select all" and smart selection when encountering high quality
When it is not SVIP, the same video will only select the best one among 1080P and below. If the video does not have a 1080P or lower resolution, this group will be skipped and no selection will be made.
This is not a downgrade, and there is no cover: Hams will not switch you to a higher or lower version. When you need this set, please enable the lower resolution to actually load in the web page, or upgrade the SVIP.
After SVIP expires
If the "default quality" is stopped at 4K or 2K, it will be forcibly changed back to 1080P, and the available quality will also return to the upper limit of 1080P.
A settings snapshot will be saved before downgrading, and this snapshot will be restored first when SVIP is re-activated.

The membership status is expressed in words such as "SVIP capabilities" and "available when the web page is provided". It does not only display a lock icon; this page does not display a fixed price.
Images may also exist in multiple sizes
- small thumbnail
- List preview
- medium size image
- Large image loaded after opening details
- Page decoration or recommended cover
- Is it a target image?
- Is it just a thumbnail
- Is the image size appropriate?
- Is the file size reasonable?
- Is it consistent with the large image on the details page?
When you need a clearer image, open the image details on the web page first, let the larger version actually load, and then check the download panel. A larger image size does not necessarily mean it is an uncompressed original file, nor does it mean it has wider usage rights.
If the quality is appropriate, you should also consider whether the device can be turned on normally.
Hams can save resources that it can currently handle, but file format support may vary between devices and players.

Don’t make decisions based on just one number
The highest resolution must be the best
The highest resolutions typically require more storage and traffic and are not necessarily suitable for current devices or uses.
The larger the file, the higher the quality will be.
File size can also be affected by length, format, compression method, and other factors.
If it is marked with high definition, it must be of original quality.
Web page tags are not automatically equivalent to the creator's original master, nor does Hams independently verify each site's quality designation.
SVIP can convert normal quality into original quality
SVIP can only use the original quality capabilities when the web page is actually served and Hams finds the corresponding resources, and will not generate new definitions.
All versions require downloading
In most cases, you just need to choose a version that suits your current use.
The same thumbnail must be the same resource
The same cover may correspond to previews, full content, recommendations, or different page areas.
Successful download means you have the right to use it
Technically being able to save does not equate to having permission to share, edit or commercially use.
After setting the "default quality", be sure to download according to that quality.
It is a preference that should be met as much as possible, not a hard and fast rule. When there is no version of a certain video that matches the level, the lowest level allowed by your membership level will be selected. When you click on a certain resource in the panel, the one you click will prevail.
When there is no available quality, it will automatically drop to the available one.
Won't. When it is not SVIP, "Select All" and Smart Selection only select from 1080P and below gears; if a certain video does not have a matching gear, this group will be skipped and will not be automatically replaced with other versions.
Watch an ad once and keep using 2K / 4K
Click on a certain high-definition resource in the item list to watch the advertisement. The preview will only take effect for the currently clicked resource and this download. Changing a resource requires reconfirmation.
After downloading, I found that the quality or content was incorrect.
Download the cover
An image type was selected instead of a video resource.
Next step:Return to the download panel, use the "Video" button in "Quick Selection" to filter, and re-confirm the media type.
Thumbnails are downloaded
The web page only loads the preview size, or a small image size is selected.
Next step:Return to the web page to open the image details, wait for the large image to load, and then view the panel.
Video clarity is lower than expected
Need to check: whether the target resolution is selected, whether the webpage truly provides a higher version, whether it is restricted by the 1080P upper limit, whether the target content itself is clear, whether the preview resource is mistakenly selected, whether the download is complete, and whether the player is zoomed.
Next step:After confirming each item, return to the panel to select other available versions.
File too big
The selected version exceeds current storage or traffic expectations.
Next step:Return to the panel to select the smaller version provided by the web page and remove duplicate files that are no longer needed.
File cannot be played
Maybe the task is not completed, or the device and player are not compatible with this version.
Next step:Confirm that the download has completed and viewDownload Center and File Management Guide.
The selected resource has expired
Changes in temporary media address, web session, or player status.
Next step:Return to the web page to reload the target content, then open the download panel and select the currently available version.
Take a minute to choose the right version
-
Do these resources belong to the same content?
- Not sure → compare preview, type and duration first
- OK → Continue to next item
-
Limited storage or traffic?
- Yes → Select the clear version that is a better size
- No → Continue to next item
-
Ready to watch on the big screen?
- Yes → Compare higher available resolutions and compatibility
- No → Select the version appropriate for your current device
-
Need 2K or 4K that the web has to offer?
- Required, and SVIP has been activated → directly select the corresponding resource
- Required, but not yet SVIP → Click this resource in the list to view the ad preview (only this one, this time)
- Not required → Choose the appropriate version at 1080P and below
Still don’t know which one to choose
Complete it first: confirm that the target media has been played or displayed normally, filter the correct resource type, compare thumbnails, check resolution, check file size, check available information such as format or duration, and exclude covers and thumbnails.
