Download Panel · User Guide

I found a lot of resources, how to choose the one you really need?

The Downloads panel focuses on the resources Hams has discovered for processing in the current web page. Filter by type first, then confirm content with preview and resource information to avoid accidentally selecting covers, thumbnails, or duplicate versions.

Estimated reading time: approximately 5 minutesLast updated: __ month __ 2026

The panel content depends on the resources actually loaded by the web page. Hams does not guarantee that all videos or images on the webpage will be displayed, and the number found does not represent all resources on the webpage.

Quick conclusion

01
Look at the type first

There is no filter bar in the panel. Use "Video" or "Image" in "Quick Selection" to select by type at once.

02
See the preview again

Determine whether the resource corresponds to the current content through thumbnails or available previews.

03
Then check the information

View resolution, format, file size, and other actual available information. Don’t rush to download when you are unsure, you can return to the web page to continue playing or open the details.

First understand several areas of the download panel

The specific name, order and buttons of the panel are subject to the official version of Hams; the official website will not display controls that do not exist in the app. The following numbering instructions are marked using HTML and are not burned into screenshots to facilitate 21 language localization and RTL adaptation.

Panel title and number of findings

Displays the number of resources discovered on the current page. Resources are grouped according to their content and displayed directly.

Need to understand: The discovery number may change as the web page continues to load, and does not represent all resources of the web page.

Quick selection

panelThere is no independent filter bar, and there is no Tab like "All/Videos/Images". To narrow the scope, rely on the buttons in "Quick Selection": "Videos" and "Images" are selected in batches by type, "Select All" and "Unselect All" are used to process the currently loaded resources. There is also a set of quality level buttons below (4K / 2K / 1080P …), gears higher than 1080P have VIP corner marks.

What these buttons do isselectedInstead of filtering - the list itself is not shortened and selected items are marked with a check mark.

Resource thumbnail or preview

Helps determine whether it is a target video or image, whether it is just a cover, whether it is page decoration material, and whether it is repeated with other resources.

Some resources may not have available thumbnails, or the thumbnails may not be completely consistent with the final media. In this case, judgment must be made based on other information.

Resource information

Display according to the fields actually provided by the app: media type, resolution, file format, file size, duration, source description.

Judgment order: Whether the content corresponds → whether the type is correct → whether the quality is appropriate → whether the file size is reasonable → whether it is duplicated with other projects.

Select status

Indicates which resource is currently being downloaded. It must be expressed by a check mark, a border or background, clear text and the selected quantity.

Important principle: Do not automatically select all resources by default. Multiple definitions of the same video are single-selected. Selecting a new one will automatically cancel the originally selected one in the same group.

Download operation area

After confirming the selection, add the resource to the download task. If successful, you will be prompted "Added to download queue".

Checking multiple resources at the same time in the panel is not a membership function in itself; what is really related to membership is the upper limit of quality, the number of simultaneous downloads, and the permission of some platforms to initiate batch downloads on the list page.

Settings in the panel

There are four settings in the panel: preview size, default quality, number of simultaneous downloads, and downloading only under Wi-Fi. They are allSession-level temporary adjustments, it will become invalid when closing the panel and will not write back the app settings.

The number of simultaneous downloads defaults to 1, and the optional range is 1–6, but the actual number for free users and VIPs is always 1, and only SVIP can really increase it; when non-SVIP drags the slider above 1 in the panel, you can temporarily unlock this panel session by watching rewarded ads, and will fall back if the ad fails or is cancelled.

The preview size is always "small" for non-SVIP. In the download panel, you can watch ads in exchange for a "medium/large" preview of this session; the same item in the app settings page does not have a preview and directly guides you to upgrade.

Hams download panel interface

The results in the panel depend on what the web page has loaded

Download Panel is not a standalone searcher. It displays candidate resources that Hams has discovered during the current web browsing process.

  • Already entered the real content page
  • The target video has been played or started loading
  • The target image has been opened or fully displayed
  • Page does not stay in login or error state
  • Network connection is normal

How the page behaves when it's not ready

The download button is unavailable, there are only covers or thumbnails, there is no target content in the list, the number of discoveries is small, and the resource information is incomplete.

Next step:Return to the page to continue browsing, expand content, or play media, then view the panel again (Check out the "Media Not Found" troubleshooting guide).

Follow these six steps to choose resources

  1. 01 · Page

Make sure you open the target content and not the list or preview

Search results, feed, or list pages may only load cover art and thumbnails. The target resource may not be loaded until you enter the video details, image details, or complete content page.

Completion mark: The target content can be viewed or played normally in the current web page.

  2. 02 · Open

Open the download panel after the media has loaded

After the download button is available, click to open the panel and wait for the currently downloadable items to be displayed.

    • Non-consecutive clicks on the entrance
    • The waiting list is displayed steadily
    • Check whether the number of resources has changed
    • Verify that the panel is not stuck in a loading state

Completion flag: The panel displays one or more resources that can be further judged.

  3. 03 · Filter

    Narrow down the scope first

The web page may be loaded with videos, images, covers and page decoration materials at the same time. Open "Quick Selection", use the "Video" or "Image" button to select by type at once, and then cancel the unnecessary parts one by one. It is faster than checking items one by one from the beginning.

Quick selection only works on downloadable items and will not cause the web page to automatically load media that has not yet appeared, nor will it shorten the list.

  4. 04 · Preview

Look at the content first, then the parameters

First, determine whether the item corresponds to the current video or image through thumbnails, covers, or other available previews.

    • Page logo
    • Navigation icon
    • Creative
    • background decoration
    • Small thumbnail
    • Covers that are irrelevant to the target content
    • Recurring preview images

When previewing is not possible, the judgment is made based on the type, resolution, format, file size and current content of the web page. The above should be excluded first.

  5. 05 · Check

Confirm that the format, size and file size are reasonable

When the target is a video: Confirm whether it is a video type, whether the resolution meets the needs, whether the file size and duration are generally reasonable, and whether it is a different version of the same content as other projects.

When the target is an image: Confirm whether it is an image type, whether the size is sufficient, whether it is just a small thumbnail, and whether it is consistent with the target image displayed on the page.

A larger file does not necessarily mean that the content is more correct, and a higher resolution does not necessarily mean that the current resource is suitable for use.

  6. 06 · Download

    After confirmation, start downloading

Select the required resources, review the selection status and available information, and then add them to the download task. When downloading for the first time, a "Download Confirmation" will pop up, prompting you to ensure that you have the right to use the relevant content, and downloading is for personal use only; after checking "Don't prompt again" and confirming, it will not appear again.

Completion mark: The prompt "Added to download queue" appears, and the corresponding task has appeared in the Download Center.

Find the right resource

The target content has been confirmed in the panel and the task has been added.

Next step:Start downloading and view tasks, orView the Download Center and File Management Guide.

Multiple versions of the same content appear

Multiple projects have the same thumbnail, but different resolutions or formats.

Next step:Check out the quality and resource version selection guide.

There is still no target content in the list

The video or image you want to save cannot be found in the panel.

Next step:Return to finding downloadable videos and images troubleshooting guide.

The current content is live stream

Media continues to load during playback.

Next step:View live media demo.

Every item in the panel may not be what you want.

Main video resource

Consistent with the currently playing content, display video type, may have resolution or format, file size is usually higher than cover and thumbnails, multiple resolutions may appear for the same content.

Suggestion: First confirm that the preview corresponds to the content, and then enter the quality selection.

Video cover

Static images, related to video content, may be large in size and easily mistaken for the video itself.

Judgment: Check the media type. Even if the cover is consistent with the video screen, as long as the type is a image, it is not a complete video.

Original image

It is consistent with the large image opened in the web page and has a larger size. The file size is usually higher than the thumbnail image and may not be loaded until the details are opened.

Suggestion: Compare the image size and the content displayed on the web page.

thumbnail

The size is smaller and the file size is smaller. It may appear in the list, recommendation position or preview area. The same image may have multiple small-size versions.

Suggestion: When you need to save clear images, give priority to resources that are more suitable in size and consistent with the large image.

Page decoration material

Logo, icon, button image, background image, loading animation, page recommendation cover, etc.

Recommendation: Exclude these extraneous resources via preview, size and page position.

Different resource versions of the same content

The thumbnails are the same or similar, but have different resolutions, formats or file sizes, and may be of different quality or adapted versions.

Next step:Enter the quality and resource version selection guide.

Why are there multiple results that look the same?

  1. Web pages offer multiple quality options: The same video may be available in multiple resolutions or in different encodings.
  2. The web page loads the cover and video at the same time: the cover image and the video screen may look similar, but the media types are different.
  3. Images come in multiple sizes: a web page may load thumbnails, medium-sized images, and original images at the same time.
  4. Reuse the same material in different areas of the page: the same cover may appear in listings, recommendations, and content details.
  5. Page reload media: After the player refreshes or switches states, new candidate resources may appear.

Recommended order of judgment

  • Are the types the same?
  • Whether the thumbnail corresponds to the target content
  • Are the resolutions different?
  • Are the file sizes significantly different?
  • Are the formats different?
  • Is there an asset that clearly belongs on the cover or preview

Not recommended

  • Download all similar results by default
  • Select based on file size only
  • Only select according to the order of the first item
  • Download it directly when you see the words "HD"
  • I thought I could download all the definitions of the same video at once

Different definitions (and watermarked/unwatermarked variants) of the same video areMutually exclusive radio selection: Select another definition, and the previous one will be automatically canceled, so the same video will not be downloaded repeatedly. Different videos in the same piece of content (such as multiple videos in a tweet) can be selected at the same time.

If you are still unsure, you can first choose a version that is easier to confirm and then check the result in the Download Center. This page does not promise that the app will provide independent trial listening or trial download capabilities.

Resource parameters are a basis for judgment, not an absolute conclusion.

Here is only a brief explanation, please enter for the complete contentQuality and resource version selection guide.

resolution

What is displayed on the panel is 8K / 4K / 2K / 1080P / 720P / 480P This type of gear label is calculated from the short side pixels of the resource (so that vertical screen videos will not be misjudged as higher gear). This will only appear if the web page is actually provided and Hams has discovered the corresponding version.

Higher resolution usually means sharper and usually requires more storage and traffic. These labels are displayed in English/numbers as they are and are not translated with the interface language.

File format

The possible formats are subject to the actual support and display content of the app.

Different formats may have differences in compatibility, file size, and playback methods; this page does not guarantee that devices will be able to play all formats.

file size

Can help determine whether the resource is likely to be a thumbnail, a full image, or a higher quality video.

It cannot be used alone as a basis for accurate judgment.

duration

If the app does display it, it can help determine whether the video is roughly consistent with the current content.

If the app does not display the duration, the official website will not create this field.

Which quality options require SVIP

The actual quality limit for free users and VIP is 1080P, 2K and 4K require SVIP. Resources with a VIP corner mark are resources with a short side of 2K and above.

There is only one exception:Click directly on a certain high-definition resourceYou can experience it once by watching a rewarded ad, and it will only take effect on the resource you just clicked on. The quality gear button in the quick selection, and the "select all" including high quality, non-SVIP will directly pop up an upgrade prompt, and no trial is provided. The "Default quality" in the app settings and panel is set to 2K/4K, which is also only open to SVIP, and there is no trial.

The "Default quality" in the panel only works when "Quick Selection" and Smart Selection are selected for you, and it is as satisfying as possible: when a video does not have a version that matches the level, the lowest level allowed by your membership level will be selected. When you click on a resource in the list, the one you click on will prevail.

What status does the download panel show?

Loading

Hams is sorting through what has been discovered so far.

Next step:Wait for the list to finish displaying; close the panel if there is no change for a long time, confirm that the web page is still normal, and then reopen it.

No resource found

The current webpage may not have loaded the target media, or the current content cannot be processed temporarily.

Next step:View finding downloadable videos and images troubleshooting guide.

Asset found but preview not available

Some resources may not have thumbnails available.

Next step:Judge based on type, resolution, format and file size.

Changes in quantity were found

As the web page continues to load media, the item list may grow or change. The panel itself is also loaded in pages: 10 groups of content are displayed on the first screen, and 20 groups are automatically added when scrolling down to about 600 pixels from the bottom.

Next step:Wait until the target content is displayed stably before making a selection. Turning the page to add new items will not cancel the choices you have already made.

Resource selection failed

It may be caused by page refresh, login status change, temporary media address expiration, player reloading or resource stopping.

Next step:Return to the web page to reload the target content, and then open the panel selection.

Unable to create download task

The resource may have expired, the network may be abnormal, or the current media cannot continue to be processed. If "Download only under Wi-Fi" is turned on, it will be directly intercepted when not on Wi-Fi and prompt "Only Wi-Fi downloads are currently supported."

Next step:Verify that the network is connected to the switch, orView the background download and task exception guide.

When the loading status of the web page changes, you can close the download panel, return to the web page to confirm that the media is still playing normally, and then reopen the panel to view the latest results. This page does not recommend constantly refreshing the list or continuously clicking on the entry, nor does it imply that all resources can be forced to be rescanned.

Multiple resources need to be selected

When there are multiple videos or images that need to be saved on the same page, it is easier to use "Quick Select" to process them. Checking multiple items in the panel is not a membership function; membership affects the upper limit of quality and the number of simultaneous downloads.

  1. Open "Quick Select"
  2. Use "Video" or "Image" to select by type
  3. Preview item by item and cancel unnecessary parts
  4. Review the selected quantity
  5. Unify and join download tasks

Selecting multiple resources does not mean that they will be downloaded at the same time. The default number of simultaneous downloads is 1, and it is always 1 for free users and VIPs. Only SVIP can be adjusted to a maximum of 6; the remaining tasks are queued in the queue.

What does "select all" actually select?

  • Image: Select all
  • Videos: Group by content, select only one with the best quality from each group
  • Non-SVIP: Only choose the best among 1080P and below
  • When there is no 1080P or lower gear in a certain video group,Skip the entire group and do not select it, will not downgrade or select a higher grade for you.
  • The "Video" button is also selected according to this set of security rules, with an upper limit of 1080P
  • Selected items will not be canceled as new content continues to be loaded

Boundary on selection

  • Multiple definitions of the same video are mutually exclusive. You can only choose one.
  • Different videos in the same piece of content can be selected at the same time
  • For non-SVIP users, if you click the quality level button or select all 2K/4K options, an upgrade prompt will pop up directly, and no preview will be provided.
  • When you need to try it out, just click on that high-definition resource
  • The panel will not help you select all by default
  • Initiating batch downloads on the list pages of X, Instagram, and Pinterest requires SVIP, which is different from quality access control; entering the content details page is not subject to this restriction

When non-SVIP selects 2K/4K and is blocked, the text of the pop-up window mentions the rights to batch download the list page, but what actually triggers the blocking is the quality. When you want to continue, choose a version of 1080P and below, or upgrade SVIP.

Avoid these common mistakes

Treat the video cover as a video

It is most likely to be confused when the cover is consistent with the video image.

Solution: Check the media type first, and then confirm whether there is resolution or video-related information.

Downloaded small thumbnail

Previews in lists are often just thumbnails.

Solution: Compare the image size, file size and the large image opened in the web page.

Didn’t notice that the resolution of the same video is a single choice

If you click on another resolution in the same video, the previously selected one will be automatically cancelled. It is easy to think that both are selected.

Solution: Check the selected quantity before downloading; only different videos in the same content can be selected at the same time.

Download the first item you see

The order of the list should not be construed as a recommended order.

Solution: Preview and verify the information first.

Downloaded page decoration images

Logo, icon, button and background material may also be found.

Solution: Via preview and size exclusion.

Determination starts before the target media is loaded.

At this time, there are only cover or placeholder materials in the list.

Solution: Return to the web page to play or open the complete content, and then view the panel again.

Take a minute to decide which resource to choose

  • Just need videos or images?
  • video
    • Quick selection → "Video"
    • Comparison preview
    • Confirm resolution and size
    • Only one resolution is retained for the same video
  • image
    • Quick selection → "Image"
    • Exclude icons and thumbnails
    • Compare size and preview
    • Choose resources that are consistent with the big image of your goals
  • There is no target content in the list
    • Return to the webpage → Continue loading media → Open the download panel again

Still can’t tell which resource is correct

Complete the following actions first: confirm that the target content can be played or displayed normally, use "Quick Select" to select by type, view thumbnails and resource information, exclude obvious covers and thumbnails, confirm whether there are multiple quality versions, and return to the web page to reload it.
