Before downloading, make sure you have the appropriate rights
Hams helps users try to discover and manage downloadable media in supported web pages, but does not determine copyright, licensing, or site rules for users. Please only save content that you have permission to download and use.
Hams does not bypass logins, paywalls, or other access controls; DRM and encrypted playback-protected content are not supported and processing will fail when encountering such content.
Which part do you want to know
The legal usage instructions for ordinary users and the notification process for rights holders are presented separately to avoid confusion.
I want to confirm if something is suitable for download
Learn the differences between accessing, downloading, saving, sharing and commercial use, and what shouldn't be done with Hams.
I believe content directly controlled by Hams violates my rights
Submit work information, location of allegedly infringing content, and rights statement for review by Hams.
The allegedly infringing content is provided by other websites
Hams generally does not host third-party web content viewed by users. Please prioritize contacting the website, platform or service provider that actually hosts the content.
When can you use Hams to save content?
You should download, save and use the content only if you have the necessary rights and permission, or if it is expressly permitted by applicable law. This page is not intended to serve as a substitute for legal counsel in determining whether a copyright exception applies to a specific work.
Usually clear and reasonable scenarios
- content you create yourself
Save videos and images that you shoot, upload, create or own full rights to.
- The rights holder explicitly allows downloading
The website or content owner explicitly provides the download function or explicitly authorizes you to save the relevant content.
- Publicly licensed content
The content is published under an appropriate open license, and your use complies with the license conditions.
- public domain content
The work has entered the public domain in the applicable region, and the relevant version itself has no other rights restrictions.
- Separately authorized
You have obtained permission to download, save or use from the copyright holder, website or authorized agency.
- Other uses permitted by applicable law
Research, teaching, review, citation, or other copyright exceptions may exist in some regions, but the scope varies by region, content, and mode of use.
Five Judgments You Should Not Rely Only on
- "The webpage can be played, so it must be downloadable."
mistake. Normal access to content does not automatically equate to the right to make local copies.
- "No copyright mark is displayed, so it can be used"
mistake. Works may be protected even without a watermark or copyright notice.
- "Only for personal use, so it must be legal."
uncertain. Personal use does not automatically override the Site Terms, access restrictions, or applicable copyright laws.
- "If you don't share it publicly after downloading, it will be fine."
uncertain. Making local copies may itself require a license or legal basis.
- "It will not infringe if modified, cropped or recoded"
uncertain. Technical or visual modifications to protected content do not automatically eliminate rights to the original work.
Once you save it, how you use the content is equally important
| Behavior | Questions to consider |
|---|---|
| Save on device | Do you have permission to make local copies? |
| Watch offline | Is it allowed by the website terms or license? |
| share with others | Do you have distribution rights or licenses? |
| Upload to other platforms | Do you have permission to reproduce and publicly disseminate? |
| Edit or re-create | Is adaptation allowed? |
| commercial use | Do you have commercial licenses and other related rights? |
Videos and images may also involve music, performance, trademark, portrait, privacy or other independent rights. Ownership of one of these rights does not necessarily imply access to all of them.
Hams is a download discovery and management tool
Things Hams can do
- Browse the web in Hams
- Try to discover the compatible media that the webpage actually loads
- Preview and filter resources before downloading
- Shows the available quality options provided by the web page
- Add the selected resources to the download task
- Manage saved files on your device
Hams provides technical tools and user interfaces, but does not review the copyright status of every item on a webpage and does not grant permission on behalf of rights holders. Hams also actively excludes a list of domain names, which includes official streaming platforms such as YouTube, Google, Netflix, Disney+, iQiyi, Tencent Video, etc. It does not provide download support on these sites and does not display download buttons.
Things Hams won't do
- Bypass login requirements
- Bypass paywall
- Bypass subscription permissions
- Bypass zone access control
- Supports DRM protected media
- Decrypt protected media
- Get content the user does not have access to
- Forging website identity or authorization
- Hack third-party accounts
- Provide hosting services for infringing communications
Hams does not have DRM decryption capabilities: processing will simply fail when DRM or encrypted playback-protected media is encountered. When the app initiates a download, it will actively remove the Cookie and Authorization request headers in the request, so it cannot use the login status to obtain content. Hams may also be unable to discover or process content if it is protected by account permissions, dynamic authorization, or other access controls. Membership plans do not change these limits.
Hams discovered the resource on the web.
Users confirm the content, quality and their own usage rights.
Users save and use content in accordance with the license and applicable rules.
Hams found resources ≠ The content can be downloaded legally; the task is created successfully ≠ The user has the permission to use; the download is completed ≠ It can be shared publicly or used commercially.
Content on web pages is often provided by third parties
Hams includes web browsing capabilities. The web pages, media, account systems, advertisements and services you access are often controlled by the corresponding third parties. Hams does not own this third-party content and does not determine whether the website permits downloading, sharing, adaptation or commercial use.
Users need to also consider the website terms of service, content licensing instructions, rights holder requirements, account permissions, subscription conditions and applicable rules in their region.
If the allegedly infringing content is actually hosted on a third-party website, please contact that website, platform or hosting provider as a priority. Submitting a notification to Hams will generally not result in removal of the original content on the third-party website.
Common situation diversion
Hams does not control the content of this page. Please contact the webpage operator, hosting platform or relevant rights processing channels.
This content may be controlled directly by Hams, please submit a copyright notification through this page.
Notifications may be submitted to Hams and the right to submit complaints through Google's official intellectual property channels is reserved.
Hams generally cannot view or remotely control private local files on a user's device. If the original content is hosted by a third-party website, you should also contact the corresponding website or platform.
Submit a copyright notification regarding content directly controlled by Hams
- Hams official website content
- Hams App comes with content
- Hams official tutorial and video cover
- Hams Google Play Materials
- Other content directly controlled by Hams legal entities
- Original content from third-party websites
- Private files on the user's device
- External search results that Hams has no control over
- General product disputes
- Trademark or patent complaints (other channels)
Only the rights owner or a person authorized to act on the rights owner's behalf may submit a formal copyright notification.
We may use this email address to verify the notification and send processing results.
Multiple works may be itemized or a representative list may be provided.
Simply filling in "official website" is not enough to locate the content.
The field will not be pre-populated, nor will any claims be automatically checked.
Author's identity: Copyright owner or organization: Notification contact: Contact email: Works claimed: The location of the allegedly infringing content in Hams: Unauthorized reason: Statement 1 (belief in good faith): not confirmed Statement 2 (information is accurate and authorized to represent): Not confirmed Electronic signature: Submission channel: Hams official website copyright page
Just because the Mail app is open doesn't mean the notification has been submitted. The notification is not actually submitted until you confirm the recipient and text and click Send. Drafts are only saved in the current browser and will not be automatically uploaded.
Please do not submit false or misleading notifications. The copyright process should not be used to suppress comments, competitive content, legal uses, or disputes unrelated to copyright. Notifications that are repeated in batches, impersonate rights holders, or cannot locate content may be restricted or transferred to manual review.
What happens after submission
-
Notification received
We have received your notification but have not yet confirmed that it is complete or valid.
-
integrity check
Verify author identity, work description, content location, contact information, required acknowledgments, signatures, and whether Hams controls the content.
-
range judgment
Hams direct control → enter content verification; third-party web hosting → inform that the original content cannot be removed and suggest contacting the host; Google Play level → internal verification and explain the official complaint channel.
-
substantive verification
Access may be temporarily restricted, material may be replaced, internal proof of authorization may be required, content providers may be contacted, legal counsel may be consulted, or notices that are clearly irrelevant or incomplete may be rejected.
-
Processing results
Access has been removed or disabled / Content has been replaced / Described content was not found / Notification is incomplete / Content is not controlled by Hams / Authorization requires further verification / Dispute referred for legal review.
Processing results are not simply classified as "success" or "failure." We will review notifications containing the necessary information as soon as possible after we receive them; complex ownership, licensing, or cross-platform issues may take longer. Before going online, you need to fill in: automatic receipt confirmation time, preliminary scope judgment time, supplementary information notification time, general verification target time and how to handle complex legal issues.
Counter notification
Hams does not currently host user-uploaded and publicly posted content, so a public counter-notification form is not available on the front desk. If you are the provider of removed content and believe that processing was based on error or misidentification, please respond to the contact information in the processing notification and describe the reason for your dispute. Whether to use formal counter-notice wording will be determined by legal review.
Trademarks, patents and other rights
Copyright, trademarks, patents, privacy, and publicity rights are different legal issues, so please submit them separately using the corresponding topics.
Unauthorized use of brand names, use of similar logos to cause source confusion, and impersonation of official applications.
Patent disputes often require legal representation to provide a more complete rights and product analysis.
If the question concerns personal photos, privacy or likeness, rather than copyright of a work, please submit via private channels.

Materials lacking complete provenance records shall not be included in official marketing assets.
Copyright and Legal Contact
This page does not state a "DMCA Designated Agent." Whether the U.S. Section 512 system is applicable and whether the agent needs to be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office and continuously renewed must be judged by legal personnel; only after formal registration is completed and application is confirmed, the agent's name, organization, address, phone number, and registration information can be displayed.
Use tools but also respect content rights
Only download content you have the right to save and use. Copyright issues involving content over which Hams directly controls may be contacted through formal notification channels.
